Layouts and Background action

I am very experienced in setting staging environments for previz and working on layouts. I have set up hundreds of scenes that include all the necessary assets such as props, motion capture data, characters, vehicles, and environment pieces. I am proficient in using Motion Builder, Unreal Engine 5 and other 3D packages for layouts, background action and set dressing. The video demonstrates a taste of some layout and set dressing I have worked on.

This also includes experience with Motion Capture shoot prep, organising assets, handling data and being on shoots to help with directions and continuity.

CAMERAS AND EDITING

My core passions are in film and editing, which is why I am able to use my experience with filmmaking to video game cinematics. I like to simulate real world camera movements onto animated cinematic cameras within video games, from conversational to high octane scenes. I utilise a variety of lenses and movements to enhance the narrative context of a scene and to capture the emotions of the characters. I excel at creating focused compositions that emphasise the subject behind the camera, with every movement and action having purpose.

When it comes to editing I follow the beats of the narrative, knowing when to make a good cut and only creating cuts that will help progress the story but still capture the nature of the cinematic.
